Senior Presidential Advisor in charge of Busoga Mrs. Florence Mutyabule has cautioned parents against reckless and extravagant spending during the festive season saying every new year comes with challenges.
“…the world is not coming to an end during the weeklong festive season, so be moderate knowing that children must go back to school come January,” Mutyabule advised.
The Senior Presidential Advisor echoed the need for parents to plan and budget wisely to avoid being stranded after the festive season. She emphasized the importance of saving and investing in things that will yield long-term benefits for the family.
This message comes at a time when many families tend to overspend during the Christmas period, often leaving them in financial distress in the new year.
